As I ponder the various religions and divisions - thoughts that always come up around the holidays, particularly ones that are supposed to be joyous in nature - here is the offering for today:
Separate We Lose
This time of year
is a time for renewal
not of destruction
So why do we work
against each other instead
of to the same goal?
Your God, my Goddess
what is the true difference?
We are all the same
We are human first
all else is secondary
why do we still fight?
Shared burden is less
than separate burdens are
together we win
Separate we lose
and so too does the future,
that of our children
The choice is ours, as always
that is the price and ponderance
of having free will
